Someone I follow on Twitch said they got their room for MFF back in March. Even if it was out of the hotel block, it was worth it to him considering it meant the hotel space was guaranteed. Honestly don't blame him, especially since the con dates were already set in stone.
I kinda felt that was a spiritual successor to Pine Fur Con; FCL was still first-year, but not the first furry con in Portland, so I could see it being popular to go to.
I wish we could go but wed be without a vehichle cause my fiance refuses to drive in boston lol would take train woudl end up in a poor persons cheap hotel 😅
One thing I didn’t figure out yet is where am I gonna meet my friends at. 😅

I finished preserving a spotted lantern fly for my panel! Now I can show people exactly what they look like and even place under the microscope that connects to my computer! That means I can hook it up to a projector!

Same! I actually have a solution to this! I build enclosed habitats keep non native species so they don’t have to be killed but also can’t harm the environment! Definitely need to talk about that on my panel!

I also finished working on a sort of non furry version of Luminous called Dr. Glow, who I plan to have that outfit at furpoc at some point! I outfitted it with my own inventions and almost every piece of it glows or lights up in some way! I actually plan to first show it off at a rave tomorrow that I was invited too!

Yes, very good. Unfortunately we were not so lucky, a virtually non existent invertebrate population, a previously undocumented species taking over the area, and plastic pollutants detected in the water.
Pretty large, it’s also an important water source too (Poland springs water uses one of the tributaries for some of its water). The change was so dramatic and unexpectedly rapid that it’s very concerning, concerning enough that we currently have other teams checking it out.
Still very much floating the idea of doing a native aquarium or two, because I think things like darters, sculpins, dace, shiners and sunfish are both interesting and surprisingly pretty.

Suprisingly this method was also used in France and Chile as well. It was tried in New Zealand but failed due to lack of vector. They currently use rabbit hemorrhagic disease which is also a virus.
